Means of Escape Planning
We can assist in the concept design and
arrangement of assembly and embarkation
stations as well as in dimensioning the
stairways, doors and landings in line with the
requirements of the Chapter 13 of the Fire
Safety Systems Code.
Advanced Evacuation Analysis
SafetyatSea has developed an advanced
pedestrian flow simulator (Evi) to undertake
advanced evacuation analysis in accordance
with IMO advanced evacuation guidelines for
passengers ships.
We have undertaken advanced evacuation
analysis for more than 30 ro-ro passenger
ships and cruise vessels.
SafetyatSea's expertise has been utilised to
assess the abandonment performance of
large passenger ships, both when considering
alternative design & arrangements for life
safety appliances as well as when addressing
casualty threshold requirements for
abandonment of cruise vessels.
